Projects

In 1995, AMTG developed a community-based vision for greenways and trails in the greater Austin metropolitan area. AMTG is now working with community organizations to update this vision.

West Bouldin Creek Greenway Planning
During Winter 2001, AMTG has worked with the Bouldin Creek Neighborhood Association and the City of Austin Parks Department to develop a greenway and trail plan for West Bouldin Creek.

Upper Boggy Creek Trail.
During Summer 2001, AMTG will work with community groups on a greenway and trail plan for Upper Boggy Creek, which parallels' Airport Boulevard from North Lamar to East of I-35.

Town Lake Trail.
In 2000, AMTG hosted a community charrette to examine the Town Lake Trail.

Proposition 2 Water Quality Protection Lands.
In May 1998, the citizens of Austin approved the issuance of bonds for the purchase of watershed protection lands in the Barton Springs Watershed and over the contributing zones of the Edwards Aquifer.

AMTG is currently participating in the City of Austin's public process for the development of a land management plan for these lands. AMTG is committed to ensuring public access to these and other public lands.

Bike Austin Month.
AMTG is a sponsor of Bike Austin Month (April 6 - June 3, 2001).
